For me, it was about finding the best natural deodorant that could kill bacteria and fight body odor and adding few tricks to make the detoxifying phase easier to handle. Here are few tips I learned along the way.
Tip #1: Timing is key! Use cotton tees! Transition to natural deodorants during spring or fall -
The temperatures are cooler and we tend to sweat less. We also tend to wear more breathable clothes. I notice that cotton fabrics are the best to wear during the detox phase; they are so breathable!!
Tip #2: Wax/Shave it all! If it is not already done!
Don’t keep any hair. Shave or wax it very other day! I found that having no hair helped so much. It helps to reduce sweating and makes it so much easier to clean your pits! There are many products on the market for waxing and shaving. I found that wax made out of sugar are very effective.
Tip #3: How to tackle the B.O.? Wash Wash Wash!
This is about keeping your underarms clean. Washing you underarms three to five times throughout the day is essential here. I know you are probably thinking this is crazy. Also using detoxifying soap bar made with charcoal to clean your pits is a great option to wash away toxins that are being released.
Body odor is actually due to toxins being released in the sweat. These toxins have been accumulating from years of using antiperspirants.
Tip #4: Use a detoxifying mask for your armpits
Yep! It sounds weird, but it worked for me and I still do this to this today. My B.O. was so bad at first. I researched and tested the bentonite clay armpit detox and it works great for me. It just keeps the stink at bay. Bentonite clay is your friend here! Bentonite clay is also referred healing clay and has been used throughout in other cultures for centuries. It works as well for our armpits. I even drink bentonite clay to detoxify my body. Remember, toxins/impurities are released when we transition to natural deodorants. I noticed that anytime I used this detox armpit mask, the stink was gone for a whole day. This might also speed up the detox phase during transition.
