How To Prepare For A Modeling Audition/Go-see?

Just like when you are looking for any job you need to have an interview to be hired, modeling works just like the same. You will need to attend a modeling audition where fashion designers, art directors, and photographers can evaluate all the candidates to make sure they choose the right person for the job. So, you need to make sure that you get well prepared to make a memorable impression.

Even though if you are already a model at Orange Model Management, if this is your first audition, you might feel a bit anxious which is perfectly normal. So, nothing better that to prepare yourself to look at your best. Here are some of the things you should consider:

#1: Makeup And Dress:

Unlike what you may think, when you go to a modeling audition, you should make sure that your makeup has the more natural look. Using light colors like light brown, mauve, or purple are ideal.

In what concerns with the dress, you should avoid anything flashy. Instead, one of the best options you have is to choose some tight fitting clothes that show the curves of your body. Most models tend to wear some tight jeans and a t-shirt. In case you have any piercings you should remove them as well as if you have any tattoos, you should cover them.

#2: Know More About The Client:

The more you know about the client and about what he is looking for, the better you can prepare yourself. It’s completely different if you’re having an audition for acting or if it is to show a new couture line.

#3: Knowledge About The Industry:

In the case you’re just starting out as a model, it’s important that you are familiarized with some of the names in the industry. You don’t need to know everyone but the most famous designers, best modeling agencies, talent agencies, photographers, among others are important.

#4: Be Punctual:

One of the worst things you can do when you’re going to a talent agency or to a modeling audition (or even if you already have a session scheduled) is to arrive late. Make sure that you are always there 15 minutes ahead of the time.

#5: Leave A Good Impression:

When you attend a modeling audition, you will have a lot of people who are also anxious to get the job. And you can be sure they will do their best to get it. So, make sure that you leave a good impression. Be confident and not cocky. Always have a smile on your face, have a healthy self-image, and keep following the advice you got from Orange Models Canada.

Although going to an audition may not be easy, especially during the first couple of times, you will get the hang of it. And you will get better. Just remember there are many opportunities out there and that if you keep trying and pushing yourself, you can have a successful modeling career.
